• HIC stands for High Income Countries
• Such countries like the USA, Canada, and Switzerland have a GNI (Gross
National Income) of over $12,535
• These countries have populations that are doing well, and these countries
have well developed cities
• These countries have a system and method so they may be well off for a
while
 MIC
• MIC stands for Middle Income Countries
• Middle Income Countries like Mexico, China, and India have a GNI
(Gross National Income) between $1,036 and $12,535
• These countries are well off but can be better
• More development, less migration, and better executions of good ideas by
the government can get these countries to be HIC’s
 LIC
• LIC stands for Low Income Countries
• LIC’s such as Chad, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh have a GNI (Gross
National Income) of less than $1,036
• LIC’s need a little more help and the people who live there are not as well
off
• LIC’s are not as developed and take longer to bounce back from natural
disasters or other problems they may face
