National Pride

 National Pride
• Is the positive effect that the public feels
towards their country as a result of their
national identity.
• It is both the pride or sense of esteem that a
person has for one's nation and the pride or
self- esteem that a person derives from one's
national identity.
 National Pride
• It coexists and prerequisite of nationalism
but nationalism extends beyond national
pride and feeling national pride is not
equivalent to being nationalistic (Doob,
1964)
 Strategies to develop our
sense of National Pride:
• Commit ourselves to have a deeper loved for our
country and see the great attributes.
• Promote and be proud of our locally produced good,
tourist spots, traditions and cultures.
• Develop national pride among our loved ones,
learners or members of the community especially to
our young generation.
 National Pride
And God said to him, “I am God
Almighty; be fruitful and increase in
number. A nation and a community of
nations will come from you, and kings will
be among your descendants.” (Genesis
35:11)
 Action Plan
❑Intensify the use of contextualization or
localized materials that promotes national
pride in our country in delivering the
lessons to the learners.
 Declaration
We declare a better future for our nation, the
Philippines! It is beautiful, prosperous and
progressive. It shall be continually known for its world
class outcome at unique culture and traditions. People
all over the world shall keep coming back to the
Philippines not only because of its tourist destinations
but also because of the peace and order in the nation.
 Declaration
Whoever steps into this land shall feel the joy and
serenity that comes from God.
We, Filipinos shall be known for being friendly,
peaceful, warmth and God- loving.
 Prayer
God our Father, giver of life, we entrust the
Philippines to your loving care. You are the rock on
which this nation was founded. You alone are the true
source of our cherished rights to life, liberty, and the
pursuit of happiness. Reclaim this land for your glory
and dwell among your people. Send your Spirit to
touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders.
 Prayer
Open their minds to the great worth of human life and the
responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Remind your
people that true happiness is rooted in seeking and doing your
will.
Through the intercession of Mother Mary, patroness of our
land, grant us the courage to reject the “culture of death.”
Lead us into a new millennium of life. We ask this through
Christ Our Lord.
