Secondary Data Analysis

• The Royal Enfield Classic 350 2021 will borrow many features from the Meteor
350 that was launched last year.
• The bike will be built on the J-platform that made its debut with the Meteor 350.
The engine will sit on a double-cradle frame to provide better stability. The alloy
wheels for the new bike could also be borrowed from the Meteor 350.
• In terms of omissions, the kick-starter will not be present in the new Classic 350
and bikers will have to rely completely on the click start mechanism.
• Meteor 350 is expected to replace the now-discontinued Thunderbird
350 :Fireball, Stellar and Supernova.
• Now Royal Enfield has trademarked the names Hunter and Sherpa as well and
they feel it would reserve the Sherpa for a more adventurous motorcycle,
possibly a higher capacity Himalayan. 
• Royal Enfield could showcase its new lineup comprising the Meteor, Sherpa and
Hunter later this year.
FINDINGS
1. Majority (53%) of the respondents are between the age group of 18-25 years.
2. Most (45%) of respondents are Students.
3. Majority (50%) of respondents have used the bike for a period of 1-2 years.
4. Majority (57%) of respondents are influenced by their Friends in their purchase decision.
5. Majority (66%) of respondents are influenced by the features of the bike.
6. Majority (50%) of the respondents possess the model "Classic".
7. Majority (80%) of respondents has stated that there is a stability in the price of the bikes.
8. Majority of respondents have stated the classic is more price-worthy than the other
models.
9. Majority of the respondents are satisfied with the price (58%) ,brakes , fuel consumption
and financial schemes.
10. Most of the respondents have a Neutral opinion on problems like low mileage (43%) ,
high fuel consumption (46%) , and majority of the respondent population have a neutral
opinion on the problems namely damage in spare parts (50%) and high maintenance cost
(57%).
Recommendations

• Royal Enfield has to improve its customer service on the whole.Most of the respondents have suggested to make
the customer service more efficient as lack of skilled manpower causes complaints (not resolve resolution).
• The company has to introduce theanti-braking system in all the models in order to increase the control on the
bike.
• The improvement in the fuel efficiency of specific models like Himalayan etc. will boost the demand for the
bikes further and reduction in CC also helps in the same.
• Product Vibration can be emphasized by the engine refinement.
• Also , the new Classic 350 will get the updated Tripper Turn-by-Turn Navigation along with a small screen to
help riders navigate using a Bluetooth connection with their smartphone. So,the technology upgradation will
definitely be enhanced in upcoming years.
• Price of Royal Enfield is very high when compared to competitors.The company can provide some gifts &
discounts to the customers.
