INTRODUCTION
Cloud Computing is the delivery of computing
services such as servers, storage, databases,
networking, software, analytics, intelligence, and
more, over the Cloud (Internet).
Cloud Computing provides an alternative to the
on-premises datacenter. With an on-premises
datacenter, we have to manage everything, such
as purchasing and installing hardware,
virtualization, installing the operating system, and
any other required applications, setting up the
network, configuring the firewall, and setting up
storage for data.
After doing all the set-up, we become responsible
for maintaining it through its entire lifecycle.
Basic concept of cloud computing
• Cloud computing basics concept includes all of the following concepts:

IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) – A computer infrastructure, typically

presented in the form of virtualization. Is a service within the concept of
cloud hosting.
PaaS (Platform as a Service) – An integrated platform for the
development, deployment, testing, and support of web-applications.
Presented as a service on the basis of the concept of cloud hosting.
SaaS (Software as a service) – This is the business model of the
software license, which involves the development and support of the
software vendor. Customers also have the opportunity of paid use of it,
usually through the Internet
IMPACT OF CLOUD COMPUTING ON SOCIETY
The impact of cloud computing in our day-to-day life in various ways.
Some of the examples are as follows.

 Social media
 Shopping
 Healthcare
 Education
 Communication
Social problem of cloud computing
• Problems such as sharing data and being over the
Internet are huge risks. Being completely reliant on
the Internet raises questions on the security and
accessibility. Other problems that users may have
while trying to share data is that “a cloud provider
could suffer outages for non-technical reasons”
such as “including going out of business or being
the target of regulatory action.” These different
situations cause social problems because people try
to stay away from new businesses that are trying to
break out. This would most likely cause people to
go towards the name brands and bigger companies
that support the “cloud” feature. In Public “clouds”
they would have to have “external organizations
provide the infrastructure and management
required to implement the cloud. This would help
transferring and sharing data between users more
secure, even though you are most likely sacrificing
time in the process.
Characteristics of cloud computing

On-demand self-service
Broad Network Access
Resource Pooling
Rapid elasticity
Measured service
ADVANTAGE OF CLOUD COMPUTING

• Back-up and restore data

• Improved collaboration
• Excellent accessibility
• Low maintenance
• Mobility
• Data security
• Unlimited storage capacity
DISADVANTAGE OF CLOUD COMPUTING

• Internet connectivity
• Vendor lock-in
• Limited control
• Security
• Technical Issues
• Bandwidth issues
Conclusion
• Cloud computing is an innovation in the IT industry that has evolved how
people share and store data. It saves energy and cuts costs of bills. For the
most part people can use it safely due to different precautions companies
use to keep their users information safe. Although Cloud computing is still in
the developmental stages of the process, the security process is improving
and the legal and ethical issues. The “cloud” is a high potential and pretty low
risk innovation and is changing everything. User’s have access to their
information and data anywhere with internet and the rest of the world is
soon finding out about it
