Sonar
Components Used:
 Arduino UNO
 HC SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor
 Micro Servo Motor
 HC 06 Bluetooth Module
 Bread Board
 Jumper Wires and Arduino Cable
Problem:
Range finding using SONAR.

Solution:
Finding range using HC SR04 sensor and
Arduino Uno using LabVIEW and Arduino IDE.
Effectiveness of Solution
for the Given Problem:
 Precise distance measurement of the object within the range of the
sensor.
 Precise angle measurement of the object within the range of the
sensor.
 Using a micro servo motor on sensor to make it in to a radar.
 Wireless communication using bluetooth module.
Solution Designing:
 Designing simple sonar using Arduino IDE.
 Controlling servo motor through Arduino IDE.
 Mounting sonar sensor on the servo motor to make radar and
controlling it through arduino IDE.
 Using Bluetooth module to establish wireless communication with
Arduino.
 Making a compatible program on labview .
 Controlling and obtaining output of all the above mentioned
components on labview.
Relation with societal and environmental
considerations:
 Applications in defense systems.
 Use in security systems as it will indicate when an object is in
close-proximity to the secured object.
 Can be used in water tanks to know about the level of water.
 Can be used in automobiles for auto pilot as the car will know
where the obstacle is.
 Can be used in operation of machines where visibility is an issue
such as submarines.
