Pitch for idea

Cyber bullying
Advert pitch

The aim of the brief is to create an awareness/ print advert for cyber
bullying .

This advert is targeted towards 14-19 years old. The advert is to be

advertised on social media.

The overall message of the advert is to highlight the serious issues of

cyber bullying and how it is effecting the wellbeing of the young people
but also effects older people.
General aim of the advert campaign

My advert will be based around the issues of Cyber bullying, and it will be
targeted towards 14 to 19 years olds.

Cyber bullying is an issues that effects most of our young people and can
range from depression, mental health issues even make people suicidal.

My own advert will have more of a focus on the effects cyber bullying has
on our young peoples and how it might feel like and how it can be dealt
with.
Target Audience

The main target audience would typically be for both male and female
aged 14 -19.

I will be using this age group because these are the ages teenagers use
social media the most and social media is where the cyber bullying starts.

The secondary audience research target audience will also be both female
and male same age group, as both genders go through the same
experience of cyber bullying.
Primary Research

I surveyed a group of ten people with the

target audience.

The results of the survey showed me the

percentages of the questions that has been
asked about cyber bullying and how much
people know about it already, but also
showed me that some people are not
educated on the subject and need to know
more.
Another question I asked within this
questionnaire was for the responders to
identify which of the statistics was true
or false.

As the results show a majority of the

responders were very much aware that
online bullying doesn’t only affect adults
but it also effects the younger people.
The Message

The message that my advert should communicate to the audience are

mainly those that are not aware of the importance of cyber bullying
and the effects it has on people.

In addition to this advert the aim is to give create awareness and let
people understand what it feel like for our young and older people to
go through something like being bullied online and the consequences
that it has.
Distribution

The advertisement will be shown online through social media as well as

being advertised in public such as bus stops and on the side of bus
which is a good way of the advertisement catching people's attention.

Regarding the social media, looking at my research and my target

audience I can see that most people are affected by cyber bullying on
social media which is a better reason why my advertisements should be
broadcasted and shown on there.
Legal and Ethical Constraints

 Ethical standards are based on the human principles of right

and wrong. The differences between them are these: Legal
standards are based on written law, while ethical standards are
based on human rights and wrongs. Something can be legal but
not ethical.

 For example, a potential legal constraint on the advert is the

potential use of other people images and brands that should
not be allowed.
