DANCE TECHNIQUES
 Depending on the
competition requirements,
various dance techniques may
be used in cheer dance
competition.
 It could be jazz,
contemporary, hip hop, etc.

CHEER JUMPS
 Cheerleading jumps range from simple, quick jumps to more complex
contortions. Jumps are used at sporting events as well as cheerleading
competitions.

CHEER JUMPS
 Cheerleading
jumps range from
simple, quick
jumps to more
complex
contortions. Jumps
are used at sporting
events as well as
cheerleading
competitions.

TUMBLINGS
 A form gymnastics that requires athletes to use their bodies to flip, twist, roll and
jump.

STUNTS
 Defined as building performance displaying a person’s skill or dexterity.
(readiness and grace in doing the stunts)

PYRAMID
 Creatively combining lifts, poses and dismounts. Ending up with a sort of mega
stunt that is visually impressive.
