age 39) known primarily for: -
Peacefully fighting racial
segregation and discrimination in
United States
HIS
DREAM:
His dream of peace, equal opportunities and
integration became a way of life in whose service
he put all his qualities and efforts. The search for
happiness working for the peace of his land,
marked the history of his country and the whole
world, precisely because he discovered in each
person a brother, a son of God. His life is an
invitation to be "artisans of unity", among our
friends, our family, our neighborhood and the
country, as requested by the Pope in Temuco, with
the efforts of each one driven by his dreams.

undertaking a peaceful struggle to
achieve equal civil rights for African
Americans, his great oratorical ability
made him one of the most mediatic and
influential characters of that time, for
more than 10 years he had great
achievements in the fight for civil rights
through non-violent positions and
peaceful demonstrations
