Introduction of computer

 A computer is a device that transforms data into meaningful information.

 Computer is an electronic device that operates (works) under the control
of programs stored in its own memory unit.
 A computer is an electronic machine that processes raw data to give
information as output.
 A computer has an internal memory, which stores data & instructions
temporarily awaiting processing.
 A computer holds the intermediate result (information) before it is
communicated to the recipients through the Output devices.

Types of computer
 There are five types of computers:
1. Supercomputer: A supercomputer is a computer with a high level of performance
compared to a general-purpose computer
2. Mainframe computer: Data servers designed to process up to 1 trillion web
transactions daily with the highest levels of security and reliability.
3. Minicomputer: computer that was smaller, less expensive, and less powerful than a
mainframe or supercomputer but more expensive and more powerful than a personal
computer.
4. Workstation:a high-performance computer system that is basically designed for a single
user and has advanced graphics capabilities, large storage capacity, and a powerful
central processing unit.
5. PC (Personal Computer): a digital computer designed for use by only one person at a
time.
