Since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, women have
been stepping up and leading as researchers, media
professionals, essential workers, innovators, political
leaders and nurtures to name a few.

INTRODUCTION International Women’s Day sheds light on the tremendous


amount of dedication continuously displayed by women and
girls in shaping a more equal future as well as their efforts
in the recovery from the pandemic.

Therefore, the need to celebrate women for their hard work,


dedication and caring.
We would like to propose an event for International
Women’s Day whereby we choose a speaker to host a
BACKGROUN dinner with a group of women and speak on women
empowerment, its pros and its challenges.

captivating and engaging.

and Reach

Why?: National athletic treasure and multi-award


winner Amantle Montsho is a great asset to have
on an event such as this one because she is
authentic and influential and relates with women
on various levels.
CONNIE
FERGUSON

and Reach

Why?: South African based Tswana award


winning actress, producer and entrepreneur,
Connie Ferguson is relevant this event as she
ticks all the boxes. A true force to reckon with.

Note: Connie Ferguson would be hosting the


event virtually as she will not be in the country
on the day of the event.
