What are the major philosophies of
education?
The major philosophies of education can be broken down into three
main types: teacher-centred philosophies, student-centred
philosophies, and society-centred philosophies. These include
Essentialism, Perennialism, Progressivism, Social Reconstructionism,
Existentialism, Behaviourism, Constructivism, Conservatism, and
Humanism.
