Introduction to chain conveyors

Conveyors - Conveyors are used to move materials over a fixed path.

Chain conveyors are ideal for wrong-way pallets, racks, automobile frames, or other products
with a sturdy conveying surface. Chain conveyor integrates easily into systems with CDLR
and chain transfers, adding versatility to production lines.

Types and Comparison

Working principle of Chain conveyors

Cyclic Motion

Typically, conveyor systems consist of a belt stretched across two or more pulleys.
The belt forms a closed loop around the pulleys so it can continually rotate. One
pulley, known as the drive pulley, drives or tows the belt, moving items from one
location to another.
Applications

Applications include coal mining, food processing, sewage treatment, and timber harvesting.
Conveyor chain is also used with agricultural, bakery, harvesting, and textile machines; car,
cement, and chemical plants; and sorting, handling, and material conveyors.

Selection Parameters

1)Load

2)Speed

3)Floor or Overhang
Calculation

For selecting chain series
1)Tensile load applied by the chain
