Texas is the second-most populous U.S.
state,population of 29,145,505, has many major
cities and metropolitan areas, along with many
towns and rural areas. Much of the population is
concentrated in the major cities of Houston, San
Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and El Paso,
and their corresponding metropolitan areas.

lowest point:
The Gulf of Mexico is a gulf in the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of the
warmest ocean areas in the world.
It's area is 1.5 million square kilometers. The maximum depth is 4023
meters. Fishing is practiced. Oil is being mined.

highest point:
Guadalupe Peak, also known as Signal Peak, is the highest natural point
in Texas, with an elevation of 2,667 m above sea level.
Weather

– Texas' weather varies widely, from arid in the west to humid in the east. 
– During the summer, this area of state sees the most clear days. Winter
nights commonly see temperatures fall below the freezing mark, or 32 °F
(0 °C). The wettest months of the year are April and May.
– The highest temperature ever measured in Texas was 48.9 °C, recorded on
August 12, 1936.
– The lowest temperature ever measured in Texas was −30.6 °C, recorded
on February 8, 1933
Austin

– Austin is the capital of the state of


Texas and the seat of Travis County.
Here is one of the most prestigious
universities in the United States, with
very valuable faculties of physics and
astronomy.
– The first settlers have been registered
since 1835, and in 1837 the place was
renamed Waterloo. In 1839 the city was
renamed Austin.
– Austin became a major center in the
United States after the inauguration of
the State Capitol in 1888 (at that time,
the seventh largest building in the
world).
Dishes
Barbecue in Texas is most commonly served
with white bread, spicy sauces, pickles, sliced
onion, and jalapeños; sides include pinto
beans, potato or rice salad, and cabbage slaw.

Big Ben Natural Park
–Big Bend National Park is an American national park
located in West Texas, bordering Mexico.  The park
protects more than 1,200 species of plants, more than
450 species of birds, 56 species of reptiles, and 75
species of mammals. Additional park activities include
scenic drives, programs led by Big Bend park rangers,
and stargazing.      

  The park is bordered by the protected areas of Cañón


de Santa Elena and Maderas del Carmen in Mexico.
