• THREE BASIC TYPES OF SCAFFOLD
1. SUPPORTED SCAFFOLD SAFETY
2. SUSPENDED SCAFFOLD SAFETY
3. AERIAL LIFT SAFETY
SCAFFOLD
-in building construction, it is a temporary or movable
platform supported on the ground or suspended, used for
access and/or working at considerable heights above ground.
HAZARDS
1. Fall from scaffold due to slipping, bad flanking,
unsafe access, or lack of fall protection equipment.
2. Being hit by falling objects.
3. Electrocution from overhead power lines.
4. Fall due to scaffold collapse.
SCAFFOLD INSPECTION AND TAGGING
1. SUPPORTED SCAFFOLD
2. SUSPENDED SCAFFOLD
3. AERIAL LIFTS
SUPPORTED SCAFFOLD
-consist of one or more platforms supported by rigid, load-bearing
members, such as poles, legs, frames, outriggers etc.
• Tube and coupler scaffold
• Tubular welded frame
• Rolling/mobile scaffold
• Timber scaffold
SUSPENDED SCAFFOLD
-Suspended scaffolds are platforms suspended by ropes, or
other non-rigid means, from an overhead structure.
