PROBLEM STATEMENT
• When a hen hatchs around 10eggs and when it
is incubated around 21 days the result will be
around only 50%.
• And to maintain the constant temperature in
all the eggs we need them to kept in turnig.
• And it is difficult to maintain temperature in
an incubator.
OBJECTIVE

• The main advantage of the our incubator is maintaining a

controlling a constant temperature with help of XH-W3001.
• And the Temperature controller always indicates
temperature in inside the incubator in degree.
• And to maintain constant temperature in all eggs for
wealthier growth of chicks the rotating motor is provided.
• And our incubator is cost wise efficient.
METHODOLOGY
• The modem hatchery is an example of scientific solution used to solve a biological
problem.
• An incubator is an apparatus, which simulates the broody bird by means of
temperature, humidity and ventilation regulation, as well as turning of egg for
embryo development into chick.
• An electrically operated incubator with the capacity of 60 eggs was constructed
and tested.
• It was constructed using locally available materials and it is a still air incubator.
• Also when tested the temperature was between the range of 37°C to 38°C, the
relative humidity was also 55% - 60% and turning of egg was done 3 times daily;
however the egg did not hatch due to unavailability of a stable power supply.
• Thus, the power supply to the incubator can be improved using an alternative
source of power supply.

RESULT

• At the beginning of hatching season the incubator and hatchers

should be thoroughly checked for their functioning and defects, if
any, rectified.
• They should be properly cleaned, disinfected and fumigated to kill
disease organisms before storing and after transfer of eggs to the
hatcher.
• This reduces the incidence and spread of diseases.
• Fumigation is usually done with formaldehyde gas using 40 ml of
40 per cent commercial formalin and 20 g of potassium
permanganate for each 2·8 m3 of space inside the incubator or
hatcher.
• Potassium permanganate may be placed in a glass or earthenware
container and formalin poured over it.
• Fumigation should preferably be done-at the end of the
working day and then the rooms closed.
• It is a good practice to start the incubator and the
hatcher at least 24 hours before setting the eggs to
maintain a constant temperature.
• Persons working in the hatchery should use showers, and
change clothes and shoes before entering.
• Receipt of eggs from the farm and the delivery of chicks
should be away from each other to reduce infection.
EXPECTED OUTCOME

•Increasing the hatching efficieny

compared than the natural hatching.
•Maintain a necessary temperature and
humidity at a hatching period.
