MAIN DISCUSSION
KINDS OFOFPRIDE
KINDS PRIDE
Against God;
Against prophets and saints;
Against fellowmen.
1.Against God:
It's due to mere foolishness while a biped creatures considers himself as if Lord of the universe.
Namrud and Pharoan were such types, who disdained to be called God’s creatures on earth.
2. Against prophets and saints:
It's due to unwarranted self-worth when one considers obedience to any mortal being as lowering his
personal position. Such an individual either fails to reflect on the character of prophetship and thereby
feels pleased with himself and doesn't obey the prophet, or refuses to think about the claims of
prophetship as being derogatory to his elated self and thus pays no reference to the prophet.
3. Against fellowmen:
A proud man considers himself a complicated being and would adore to ascertain everyone humbled
before him. he's consequently quarrelling with God, trying to share with Him His characteristic
omnipotence. God is spoken of within the Hadith, as saying: Omnipotence is my mantle, he who
quarrels with me for it, him will I crush.
