 Gray wolves are also known as Timber wolves,found in north America.

They are the largest wild member of dog family (Carnivores,mammals)


Endangered.
Gray wolves are 2-2.5 feet tall
 Male wolves weigh about,90 pounds
 Female wolves weigh about 80 pounds.

Hormonal effect on
agressive behavior:

• Male gray colored wolves have higher level


of cortisol than female gray wolves or black
colored wolves, indicating hormonal support
on aggressive behavior

• Male wolves are more likely to chase rival


packs than females.

Reproduction:
• The dominant pair in a gray wolf pack are
only members that breed.
• Monogamous.
• Breeding season occurs between the
month of January and april.
• In north american populations wolves
mostly start breeding at two years of
age,but in some areas, female wolves do
not normally breed until four years of age
