We can add apostrophe + s to a noun to show possession. We put
the other noun after:
- The boy’s sister traveled by bus to meet us.
- Someone’s car is parked in the loading zone.
- The two sisters’ house is next to mine.

When a plural noun ends in ‘-s‘ we write the apostrophe

after the ‘s’:

-The King of Sparta’s wife was called Helen.

- Mark is Ann and Tony’s son.
- Liza’s and Kate’s books are full of useful
information.

Do describe possession with things, ideas and

places, we usually use ‘of’:
