CHARACTER OF EXERCISE

 Physical exercises are divided into

1. General : general exercises are not directly related to to the specific

demands of a particular sports. They are mainly used for general

physical conditioning to strengthen the bodies general exercises save

as a means of increasing body work capacity physical fitness and

other qualities related to general physical development.

General exercises save as a means of increasing the bodies work

capacity,Physical fitness and other qualities related to general physical

development.
CHARACTER OF EXERCISE

2. Specific Exercises : are used tkinematics, physical and

psychological qualities that apply directly to the Athltes chosen event.

They are selected and designed so that the athletes movements and

actions match closely the kinematics dynamics and psychological

features of the competitions speciality.

3. Competative Exercises : Diffrent type of competition are also

inevitable part of total training program which enables the athletes to

attain the top form at the tome of peak performance stage.

INTENSITY OF WORK

 “INTENSITY IS THE AMOUNT OF TRAINING OR

COMPETITIVE WORK DONE WORK UNIT OF TIME.”
 In sports activities intensity refers to the degree of
neuromuscular effort or exertion and the level of
physiological, biochemical, and psychological processes
occurring within the athlete's body.
 Different range of intensity such as maximum, sub
maximum, medium and low are used in training processes.
DURATION OF WORK
Exercises of different duration are used in sports training
The duration of exercise can be from three to five seconds to
two to three hours depending upon the specificity of events
training task Ect.
Duration of work should not exceed 10 to 15 seconds, further
duration of work leads to the activation of another energy
metabolism.
Short duration sizes with maximum effort are suitable for the
development of various strength and speed abilities.
Long duration exercises are suitable for the development of
endurance abilities.
NUMBER OF REPETATIONS

The duration and quality of the performed exercises determines the

number of repetitions.
Shorter the duration and easier the level of difficulty of exercise large
number of repetitions can be performed.
The intensity, complexity of coordination and the psychological
tension of an exercise reach high level, the number of repetitions
must be easily reduce.
Number of repeat patients change the amount of work and the
athletics reaction to load significantly
DURATION AND TYPES OF REST INTERVALS

The rest intervals provide a restorative environment and

enables the athlete to perform repeated work at the required

level of intensity.

To fully restore the athletes functional potential and enable

him to attain a high level of work capacity

To restore the athletes after the to restore the athletes after

the workout just finished, enable him to repeat the work during

a training session for during a training day at the same or

higher level.
DURATION AND TYPES OF REST INTERVALS

To achieve partial recovery, recovery provides a higher

adaptation and higher level of preparedness

Fully restore the functional capacity of a specific organ or

system.
