The work flow in the section
The working flow of the consultant and the
contractor has many advantages in order to work
every task closely and to solve problems arise
between them. In every work there is a work flow
whatever small is the section, my working site at
project the work flow was look like the chart
below.
2. Overall internship experience
Work piece or task We was executing
• We classify the works into office work and site work.
• Mostly the work we executed on the site was supervising, working as a site engineer and
surveyor.

Reading and interpreting drawings

• Drawings are the means by which the designer conveys the physical, quantitative, and visual
description of the project to the contractor.
• The drawings are a two-dimensional representation of the physical structure that meets the
objectives of the owner. They are also known as plans or blueprints.
3.Detailed project report of planning and

design of Gandhi Bhavana
Among many projects of the company as mentioned in the company‘s profile. Thus from those
listed we have been working in the nirmithi kendra, the best is the Gandhi bhavana project located
near the Gandhi nagar, kolar.

• Safe Bearing Capacity of the soil field test is
done to check the capacity of the soil to
withstand loads.
• The maximum load per unit area which the
soil can bear without any displacement or
settlements is designed as the “SBC of the

• SBC if the soil is calculated using IS
mentioned codes.

4.1 Soil stabilsed mud blocks
during internship
• Soil stabilized mud blocks are energy efficient and low embodied
carbon alternative materials for structural masonary stabilized mud
blocks are manufactured by compaction wetted mix of red soil,
msand, cement. And stabilizer in machine in to high density blocks
• The mix proportions of mud block is (1:5:5)
1 scoop of cement
5 scoop of soil
5 scoop of msand
4.4 Jagjeevan ram bhavan
• The site work was the very important task for me
because the internship main objective lies over
here and I have gained so much of knowledge for
the site like communication skill, handling worker,
management skills etc.
• It was a G+1 building, during our visit to the site
the building was under construction.
• The foundation work and structural work were
already done.
• At the site my mentor briefed me about earth work
and column work
• The plan for existing building was executed.
FLOORING (POLICE QUARTERS)
Floor covering is a term for a permanent covering
of a floor, or for the work of installing.
During our visit to the site
• Foundation and earth filling work was
completed.
• Concrete mixing was going on(1:3:6)
• Concrete flooring was in process.
5. Overall benefits gained from internship
 Overall benefits gained
• Internship is a class healed at site to provide an – Know construction material
enhanced understanding of the outside working – Select construction material
environment before the student graduate. – manage construction work
• The main aim of this practice (internship) is to – Know working schedules
teach students communication with different – Upgrade leadership skill
workers or employees, to improve practical skill
 Understanding work ethics
what they learned in classrooms, upgrading the
theoretical knowledge in addition to the class,  Improving leadership skill
improve their leadership skill, team playing skill  Improving team work skill
and etc.  Upgrading personal communication skill
 Upgrading the theoretical knowledge
 Improving practical skills
6.Other Site Work
The work tasks we executed at site were:
• Inspecting the worked element and how they
work.
• Checking the work based on the given check
list.
• Supervising of works.

1. Masonry work
2. Concrete form work

Vertical column, walls and beams 24 hour

Soffit work to slab and beam 24 to 28 Days

Props to slab and beam 14 Days

7.Conclusions
• Gained basic knowledge in the field of construction.
• Learned an importance of paper communication between office and site work &
developing skill of team work.
• Learns wise use of available resources.
• The training has revamped our confidence.
• Learnt about upgrading of theoretical knowledge & able to use it for practical work
• Learn about safety requirements at site.
• Improving personal ethics and knowing work ethics
• Finally we are happy to choose civil engineering.
