 CLIENT - SERVER COMMUNICATION
• NetWare follows a strict client-server model.
• Client can be MAC OS , Windows, WinNT, DOS, OS/2, Unix,or VMS.
• Servers provide the following services to clients: file, print, message,
application, database
• Each server has a SAP table and routing table
SAP broadcast every 60 seconds
RIP broadcast every 60 seconds
• GNS request
• GNS response
• Router also has a SAP table, routing table and respond to GNS requests.
