Baseband Upgrade

• Two method exist to upgrade Baseband sites:

› Upgrade Through OSS SHM

› Upgrade Through AMOS/MOSHELL
Upgrade through SHM
• Step1: Start Launch and click “OSS Explorer”
– Click Launch -> Applications -> Ericsson-OSS Explorer
• Step2: Start SHM and login
– OSS Explorer Tools -> Hardware and Software Inventory ->
Software Hardware Management
• Step 3: Import UP
– Select Upgrade tab > click” Import”
• Step4: From Import new software package window, Click
“Browse”->select and import
• Step5: Select sites list or only 1 node view the site status
• Step6: Make sure the node is synchronized and no upgrade impact
alarm
Step7: Perform upgrade
• Step8: Monitor the upgrade progress
• Step9: check the UP version after upgrade
 Upgrade through Moshell
Step1: create upgrade package

– Acc swm=1 createUpgradePackage

– Parameter 1 of 2, uri (string):

– Parameter 2 of 2, password (derivedRef-csSwM.EcimPasswordString):
• Step2: Start to download UP
– acc SwM=1,UpgradePackage=CXP9024418/2-R20EA prepare
• Step3: Activate UP
– acc SwM=1,UpgradePackage=CXP9024418/2-R20EA activate
• Step4: Confirm upgrade
– acc SwM=1,UpgradePackage=CXP9024418/2-R20EA confirm
