iew of Leading Technologies

Technology is rapidly changing nowadays, allowing for faster change and

advancement and thereby accelerating the rate of change. Because of the emergence of
COVID-19 this year, IT professionals have realized that their function in the contactless
world of tomorrow will not be the same.

Technology has grown by leaps and bounds in the previous 60 years. We've gone a
long way from a one-ton system that could store 3.5 MB of data (IBM 350) to an SD card
that can store 2 Terabytes of data and weights just 2 grams. Change is one thing that has
been consistent during this period.

A few of top trending technologies in 2022

Hyper Automation
Hyperautomation refers to the use of
advanced technologies, like artificial
intelligence (AI), machine learning
(ML), and robotic process automation
(RPA), to automate tasks that were once
completed by humans.

Hyperautomation not only refers to the

tasks and processes that can be
automated, but also the level of
automation. It is often referred to as the
next major phase of digital
transformation.
Blockchain This technology is a hot topic but a lot
of people still don’t understand exactly
what blockchain is and what it can be
used for, other than the technology
underpinning cryptocurrencies.

Blockchain is a distributed and

decentralized public ledger.  In a
distributed ledger, each processor of
blocks has its own full copy of the
ledger. Blockchains grow by adding
new blocks to a growing chain of
blocks, which contain ordered records.
Each block in the chain has a time
stamp and is used to record transactions
across multiple computers in such a
way that information cannot be altered
without affecting the consecutive
blocks.
Quantum computing is a rapidly-
Quantum Computing emerging technology that
harnesses the laws of quantum
mechanics to solve problems too
complex for classical computers.

Today, IBM Quantum makes real

quantum hardware -- a tool
scientists only began to imagine
three decades ago -- available to
thousands of developers. Our
engineers deliver ever-more-
powerful superconducting
quantum processors at regular
intervals, building toward the
quantum computing speed and
capacity necessary to change the
world.
5G Technology
5G is the fifth generation of cellular
technology. It is designed to increase speed,
reduce latency, and improve flexibility of
wireless services.

5G technology has a theoretical peak speed

of 20 Gbps, while the peak speed of 4G is
only 1 Gbps. 5G also promises lower
latency, which can improve the
performance of business applications as
well as other digital experiences (such as
online gaming, videoconferencing, and
self-driving cars).
CURRENT APLPLICATION
AND MARKETs
App development has started growing exponentially to make human
lives easy and to provide them with every small thing at their
fingertips.

App Developers is continuously bringing the most amazing apps in the market with
pertinent features that catch the attention of the users.

These apps not only connect the people but are also a source of information,
entertainment, and a medium to learn various things anytime and from anywhere. Apps
have made it easy for users to perform several tasks easily for which earlier they used to
go out of their houses and stand in a queue. Technology has completely revolutionized the
solution to the various problems of the people by developing apps that help them to stay
cool and not to worry about going out to perform that particular task.

Instagram
Instagram is a photo and short video sharing social network. It was founded
in 2010 by software engineer Michel Krieger and computer programmer and
former Google-employee Kevin Systrom.  Instagram was a hit, rapidly
gathering users to become one of the world’s biggest and most-influential
social media platforms. By June 2018, the platform had hit 1 billion monthly
active users. Instagram has played a central role in 21 st century popular
culture, with popular users dubbed ‘influencers’. Influencers have become a
key demographic for Instagram, and the app has opened up its platform with
shopping and other marketing tools to make these popular users more
successful.

Facebook
The world’s biggest and most-famous social network was
launched by Mark Zuckerberg while he was a student at
Harvard University, in early 2004. TheFacebook, as it was then
known, was originally intended to serve a digitised version of
the ‘face books’ held by Harvard’s various colleges, which
were paper directories containing images and personal
information about students.
Facebook expanded to include students at other elite US
universities, before branching out to all universities and high
schools in the US and Canada. In 2006, it was finally decided
to open the site up to the general public.
Facebook
Over the years Facebook has expanded to include multimedia
content and sharing content initially posted by others on Facebook or
elsewhere. All stuff that seems rudimentary to us now, but at the time
were pioneering innovations from Facebook and other members of that
first post-MySpace wave of social networks.
As Facebook has grown up, so has its audience. What was once a
website (and then app) for teenagers has become more and more a place
for people of all ages
Facebook and Google have what some call a “duopoly” on online
advertising. In 2019, the two companies controlled over 70 percent of the
market. Facebook alone accounts for about a quarter of all online
advertising.
Facebook key statistics
•Facebook generated $85.9 billion revenue in 2020.
Approximately $60 billion came from the Facebook app
•$40.5 billion of Facebook’s revenue is generated in US &
Canada, despite only 10% of users being based in that region
•In 2020, Facebook had an operating profit of $32.6 billion
•Facebook has been downloaded over five billion times
