OBJECTIVES OF STUDY:

➢ To study the distribution networks of Vijaykanth dairy & food products (Adityaa milk)
➢ To study the flow of goods from production place to consumption place atVDFPL
➢ To know the process of storing, handling & protecting the goods and supplying them to
consumers
➢ To find out the satisfaction of intermediaries of distribution channels.
➢ To find perceptions of distributors and retailers towards Vijaykant dairy and food product
Ltd.
➢ To study the various problems faced by the intermediaries.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

RESEARCH DESIGN:
Research design in the basic framework, which provides guidelines for the rest of the research
process. It is a map or blueprint according to which the research has to be conducted. The
research design specifies the method of data collection and data analysis.

Descriptive method: Descriptive research is used to describe characteristics of a population or


phenomenon being studied. It does not answer questions about how/when/why the
characteristics occurred. Rather it addresses the "what" question (what are the characteristics of
the population or situation being studied?). The characteristics used to describe the situation or
populations are known as descriptive research.

Sampling Method

TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES OF DATA COLLECTION


Primary data has been collected with the help of questionnaire. Information is collected through
discussion with respondents personally. Secondary data has been collected through internet,
journals, magazines, reports, articles.

iv. Statistical tool-Tables and charts are used to analyze the data.
FINDINGS

➢ As per survey 49% of retailers prefer to store both local and branded ice-creams.
➢ 38% of retailers or respondents were preferred to store Adityaa milk’s ice-creams.
➢ Adityaa milk is the most preferable brand for milk and milk products i.e. 54% of
respondents were preferred Adityaa milk and products.
➢ 88% of respondents were satisfied with distributers.
➢ 47% of respondents say Adityaa milk brand undertakes quantity discount activity to
promote their brand.
➢ 52% of retailers place the order on weekly basis.
➢ Average sale of Adityaa milk& ice-cream of 41% retailers is more than 50ltrs.
➢ 92% of respondents say Adityaa milk ice-cream has reasonable price as compare to the
others.
➢ 64% of retailers face high demand in summer season.
SUGGESTIONS:

➢ Retailers and distributors place a higher value on margins, delivery, and packaging
quality, thus Adityaa milk should place a higher value on these factors. Adityaa milk
should adopt some techniques for having good relationship with retailers and distributers

➢ Retailers face the problem with supply during summer season & during festival seasons
so Adityaa milk must take some alternative way to clear that problems.

➢ Adityaa milk should focus on better customer relationship techniques.


CONCLUSION:

The whole objective of the study was to conduct a thorough survey of the Belgaum Market, to
find out the Distribution Channel of Vijaykant dairy and food product Ltd. The research was
important because the information gathered from the market might provide vital information to
the business about Vijaykant dairy and food product Ltd's distribution route. This research may
aid the organisation in developing new distribution channels, as well as maintaining proper
relationships with them and taking required steps to address the minor issues raised in the
analysis.

In the Belgaum market, the company already has a sizable marketing and distribution network.
The company's wider reach can ensure that Adityaa milk and food products are produced on a
regular basis. As a result, all retailers' stores have a wide range of products. to discover
additional fine-tuning to address the distribution's flaws channels

To satisfy distributors and retailers of Vijaykant dairy and food products Ltd in Belgaum, 88
percent of retailers and 75 percent of distributers are satisfied with Vijaykant dairy and food
products' distribution network.
