Mindful Schools
Practice – Three minute mediation
Just Breathe-one minute
• Sit comfortably in a neutral position, feet firmly on the floor, eyes
closed or looking down
• Count to 6 in
• Hold until count of 5
• Release to count of 7 like creating steam in the back of your throat
Visualization-one minute
• Images are usually from nature
• Picture something that is soothing or balanced
• Best for visual learners
Mantra-one minute
• Repeating a sound single letter, word or one or more full sentences
• Staying focused on the sound or word to calm thinking
• Best for Auditory Learners
