01 N.R Narayan Murthy
● He founded Infosys Limited in
1981.
● He was president, and chief
mentor of the company before
retiring.
● As of October 2021, his net worth
was estimated at US$4.3 billion.
Achievements:
● Murthy has been listed among the 12
greatest entrepreneurs of our time by
Fortune.
● Murthy has been honoured with the Padma
Vibhushan and Padma Shri awards.
Career
● Murthy first served as a Research Associate.
● There he worked on India's first time-sharing computer
system and designed and implemented a BASIC
interpreter. He started a company named Softronics.
● When that company failed after about a year and a half,
he joined Patni Computer Systems in Pune.

● A bitter experience on a train in 1974 turned N R Narayana


Murthy into a "compassionate capitalist" from a "confused
leftist", leading him to create Infosys.

● Murthy and his six software professionals founded Infosys in


1981 with an initial capital investment of Rs 10,000, which
was provided by his wife Sudha Murthy. Murthy served as
the CEO of Infosys for 21 years.
02 Arjun Malhotra
● In 1975, Malhotra co-founded HCL
Group, where he served as vice
chairman.
● He also founded TechSpan and
served as chief executive officer.
● He also co-founded SPIC MACAY
along with his college friend Kiran
Seth.
Achievements:
● Malhotra was awarded the Albert Einstein
Technology Medal in 2001.
● In 2003, he was named a Life Fellow by IIT
Kharagpur.
● Dataquest Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
● Malhotra was described by Business Today as a
"serial technology entrepreneur"
Career
● In 1972 along with Shiv Nadar he was assigned to set up
marketing division for DCM Data Patterns..
● In 1975, he quit DCM and partnered with Shiv Nadar to set
up a company known as Microcomp Limited, which sold
digital calculators.
● Microcomp created a joint sector company named
Hindustan Computers Limited and began manufacturing
mini and microcomputers.
● Malhotra started his IT consulting company TechSpan in
1998 with funding from Goldman Sachs.
● He later merged the company with IT services company
Headstrong in 2003, and became that company's CEO.

in 2011 .
● Currently, she serves as the Chief
Business Officer of the company.
● Radhika Ghai Aggarwal is India's
first woman to enter the Unicorn
Club.

Career
● Radhika has incorporated three new entities namely:
Alphacama Pvt Ltd, Deltacama Pvt Ltd and Zetacama Ltd.
● Kindlife’s website has mentioned Alphacama as the parent
entity for the brand with Vidit Jain as the director.
● Radhika’s first venture Shopclues was co-founded in 2011
along with Sandeep Aggarwal and Sanjay Sethi.
● ShopClues initially garnered ample investor interest, raised
a good chunk of money and even touched the coveted $1
billion valuation during its funding in 2016.
● ShopClues was focused on selling products across
electronics, home and lifestyle categories targeting
customers in small towns and cities.
● However, years later, as competition heightened, the
company was unable to keep up.
Walt Disney
04 ● Walter Elias Disney was an
American entrepreneur,
animator, writer, and film
producer.
● A pioneer of the American
animation industry, he
introduced several
developments in the production
of cartoons.
Achievements:
● Disney received 59 Academy Award nominations,
including 22 awards: both totals are records.
● He also received four Emmy Award nominations,
winning once, for Best Producer for the
Disneyland television series.
● Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Bambi. In
1998, the American Film Institute published a list
of the 100 greatest American films, according to
industry experts.
Career
● Disney became interested in animation, although he
preferred drawn cartoons.
● He came to the conclusion that cel animation was more
promising than the cutout method.
● Disney opened a new business with a co-worker from the
Film Ad Co, Fred Harman. Their main client was the local
Newman Theater, and the short cartoons they produced
were sold as "Newman's Laugh-O-Grams".
● In May 1921, the success of the "Laugh-O-Grams" led to
the establishment of Laugh-O-Gram Studio. However a
delay making a film made it bankrupt.
● In 1933, Disney produced The Three Little Pigs, a film
described by the media historian Adrian Danks as "the
most successful short animation of all time".
Mike Bloomberg

philanthropist, and author. He is
the majority owner and co-
founder of Bloomberg L.P.
● He was the mayor of New York
City from 2002 to 2013, and was
a candidate for the 2020
Democratic nomination for
president of the United States.
Achievements:
● Bloomberg was named the 39th most influential
person in the world in th 2007 and 2008 Time
100.
● In 2010, Vanity Fair ranked him #7 in its "Vanity
Fair 100" list of influential figures.
● In 2014, Queen Elizabeth II appointed
Bloomberg an Honorary Knight Commander of
the Order of the British Empire.
Career
● In 1973, Bloomberg became a general partner at Salomon
Brothers, a large Wall Street investment bank, where he
headed equity trading and, later systems development.
● Phibro Corporation bought Salomon Brothers in 1981, and
the new management fired Bloomberg, paying him$10
million for his equity in the firm.
● Bloomberg, set up a data services company named
Innovative Market Systems (IMS).
● The company sold customized computer terminals that
delivered real-time market data, financial calculations and
other analytics to Wall Street firms.
● In 1986, the company renamed itself Bloomberg L.P.
Bloomberg, L.P. had revenues of approximately $10 billion
in 2018.
