• Think about the following questions.

• If someone gave you a gift of £1000 today, what would


you spend it on?

• Why would you spend it this way?

• Could you spend it in a better way?


Breakout Rooms
• A breakout room is where you will have your discussions when
you are learning online.

• A box will appear at the top of your screen asking you to join a
group.

• Your teacher will set the time available for you to discuss the
questions.
Icebreaker
• Think about the following questions.

• If someone gave you a gift of £1000 today, what would you spend

• Why would you spend it this way?

• Could you spend it in a better way?

• You now have 10 minutes to discuss these questions.

• Consider the following questions in your groups.

• Think about your own countries and discuss these questions.

• Does your economy rely on oil, manufacturing, tourism or something else?

• Is it a strong economy compared to others?

• How big a gap is there between rich and poor?

• What were the strengths and weaknesses of the two essays?

• Consider the essay structure, content, and use of sources. Also


ask if the student answered the questions asked.

• If you were marking the essays out of 100, what mark would you
give them?
