IN 1955 , STUDIED AEROSPACE ENGINNEERING IN MADRAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY WORKED AT DEFENCE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION (D.R.D.O)

TO DELIVER A LECTURE ON “CREATING A LIVABLE PLANET’’ AT INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT ,SHILLONG. AT AROUND 6:35 PM ONLY 5 MINS INTO HIS LECTURE , HE COLLAPSED. HE WAS TO NEARBY BETHANY HOSPITAL IN A CRITICAL CONDITION ; UPON ARRIVAL HE LACKED PULSE OR ANY SIGNS OF LIFE. DESPITE BEING PLACED IN ICU,KALAM WAS CONFIRMED DEAD DUE TO SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST AT 7:45 PM HIS LAST WORDS WERE “ FUNNY GUY! ARE YOU DOING WELL?’’. THANK YOU
