Introduction

• According to a study by The Center of Healing


(TCOH), there has been an increase in stress among
people since the Covid-19 pandemic. The study
stated that 74 per cent suffer stress.(source:
thehindubusinessline, December 11, 2020)

• 88% of Indians suffer stress. Troubled relationships,


increasing divorce rates are also some of the reasons
behind high functioning stress and mental health
problems.(source: timesofindia, Feb 22, 2021)
Demographics:

•Most People who participated in the Survey were From the


West of India followed by North.

•Most of the respondents were aged between 25 - 30


Main Causes Of Stress
discovered through Survey:

•Not taking a break from work despite being ill.


•Poor Working Conditions
•Decisions made which are not favorable
•Decision Taken but not worked as expected
•Not able to finish work on time
•Arguments with partners
Stress while

times
• 71.5% of respondents feel stressful to work at break
times.
• More than 80% responded that breaks are effective to
cool down from work stress.
• Benefits of providing break time in an organization:
 to higher productivity 
 higher job satisfaction, 
 more balanced emotional health,
 a stronger desire to go above and beyond
Stress during lack of
control

• Only 25.5% people feel stressful when situation


goes out of their control they wish.
• However, 70.1% people feel irritated when work
is given out of their capability. 
Stress while working in ill
 91.3% of people feel stress while working in ill condition.
 Symptoms include long hours, heavy workload, job insecurity and conflicts with co-
workers or bosses.
 This can lead to- drop in work performance, depression, anxiety and sleeping difficulties.
Stress on working with
difficult people

• Of the results, 72.3% of people feel stressful to deal


with hard people.
• In that 77.9% people feel completely stressed with
hard people.
• This can lead to:
 Lack of creative solutions to problems
 Increase in employee turnover
How stressful at poor
working condition?
• More than 70% feel stressful at an unsatisfactory
working condition.
• If this continue in the workplace it would lead to:
 Fall in the productivity
 Fall in the motivation levels at workplace
 Fall in the level of Theory Y employees
 Physical and mental exhaustion and somatic
ailment

•82% percent of people who participated in the
survey said that Covid-19 has increased their stress
level a lot and 18% said that it hasn’t affected
them
How do they deal with
Stress
•1.Most of the participants stated in the survey that they try
speaking with their close ones, friends, family members to
reduce Stress .
•Around 67% people said Speaking with close ones reduces
their stress .
•2.Eating or Drinking Something which they like to also
reduces their Reduce around 25% participants said .
•65% participants said that they pray to god to reduce stress,
12% participants said that they Read books to reduce Stress
then followed by 7% who said that they play video games to
reduce Stress.
Conclusion

In Conclusion the work and living stress of people have increased. Pandemic
has caused and aggravated the level of stress in people
As in our study 71% of the people have reported they are unsure if they feel
stress from work and about the same no of people also report they feel
stressed from working during their break to complete their work 
There are many such similarities and In conclusion it is evident that living
and working conditions for young adults have had serious effects on
their stress levels and that there are a lot of triggers that have lead to it
