Good diet-

• Good diet helps to protect against malnutrition (ஊட்டச்சத்து

குறைபாடு) and non-communicable diseases (தொற்றா நோய்கள்)
such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer…etc.

• Energy intake (calories) should be in balance with energy expenditure

How to avoid fats
• Fat intake, especially saturated fat and industrially-produced trans-fat
intake, should be reduced.
• Steaming or boiling instead of frying when cooking
• That is about 44 grams to 77 grams of fat per day if you eat 2,000
calories a day.
GOOD EATING HABITS
• Do not skip breakfast
• Eat lots of fruit and veg
• Do not get thirsty
Salt, Sodium and Potassium

• Insufficient potassium
• Reducing salt intake to the recommended level of less than 5 g per day
could prevent 1.7 million deaths each year.
Sugars

• Excess calories from foods and drinks high in free sugars also
contribute to unhealthy weight gain.
• A 500ml COKE bottle contains more than 50g of sugar = 12
teaspoons

body and mind to recharge
• Sleep Can Boost Your Immune System
