TRIP TO GREECE.

How was the trip?

◦ The flight was very long, due to we bought


the economic line, because the fast ones
cost 4500 Dollar and we weren’t rich, well
we are not rich now either, so we were
twenty hours in a plane...
Why did you decide to go there?
◦ Because we wanted to know their
mythology about the numerous
gods and heroes, and shed some
light on the customs, institutions,
practices and lives of the Ancient
Greeks.
◦ On the other hand, we liked the
photos about Santorini and the
acropolis. We investigated about the
Greek’s food and it looked
amazing. Finally, we wanted to
know the museum about Greek
philosophers like Socrates, Plato
What places did you visit?

◦ We visited Santorini and, in our


very honest opinion, it will be
better enjoyed and appreciated in
the off-season. We visited in
November and absolutely loved it.
We visited the site of the world's
first Olympic Games, when the
games were held in honor of the
King of the gods, Zeus, and in
later stages, games and sports were
added.

What did you learn about the culture of that place?

◦ Greece is known for being the cradle of Western


Civilization, the birthplace of democracy, the
Olympic Games, and its ancient history and
magnificent temples. Ancient temples in Greece
include the Parthenon at the Acropolis in Athens,
the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, and the Temple of
Poseidon at Sounion.
What did you learn about the culture of that place?

◦ Greece has an area of 131,957 km², and a population


of 10.72 million.

◦ The influence Greek culture, history and heritage


has had on the Western world is profound. Ancient
Greek philosophy and other schools of thought have
had a major impact on mathematics, the arts, and
modern medicine, the effect of which can still be
felt today.
What did you learn about the culture of that place?

◦ Greek cuisine is among one of the most varied in the world.


Famous traditional Greek dishes include:
• Dolmades (Stuffed Vines Leaves)
• Fava (Yellow Split Pea Puree)
• Kalamarakia Tiganita (Fried Calamari)
• Keftethakia or Keftethes (Greek Meatballs)
• Moussaka
• Saganaki (Fried Cheese)
• Spanakopita (Spinach Pie)
Why did you recommend traveling
there?
◦ We recommend visit Greece for its
countless islands, beautiful beaches,
and ancient temples. Famous
landmarks such as the Acropolis,
Delphi and Epidaurus provide us
with a connection to the ancient
world, while cosmopolitan islands
such as Mykonos host the best
parties in Europe!
