Revascularization

Revascularization by PCI or CABG may effectively relieve

angina, reduce the use of antianginal drugs, and improve
exercise capacity and quality of life compared with a strategy
of medical therapy alone.

Decisions for revascularization are based on clinical

presentation (symptoms present or absent), and prior
documentation of ischaemia (present or absent).

In the absence of prior documentation of ischaemia, indications

for revascularization depend on invasive evaluation of stenosis
severity or prognostic indications.
