telecommunications, broadcast media, intelligent building management systems, audiovisual
processing and transmission systems, and network-based control and monitoring functions.
 ICT makes a business more efficient, effective and promptly respond to customers’ needs. ICT
can assist business activities including design, manufacturing, distribution and sales and feedback.

 Data Capture- is the process of collecting information from a document and converting it into
data readable by a computer.
 Data Storage- refers to the use of recording media to retain data using computer or other devices.

 Data Transmission- refers to the process of transferring data between two or more digital devices.

computers and utilized by the employees throughout an organization.
 Data Manipulation- refers to the process of adjusting data to make it organized and easier to read.
 Data Retrieval- is a process of identifying and extracting data from the database that is based on a
query which is provided by the user.
 Data Display- is an output device of computer data that presents the information.
