    Sikder Md Mahbub Alam presented a mini project on image segmentation using the Weka dataset. The dataset contained 7 outdoor images that were randomly drawn from a database and classified into 7 classes: brickface, sky, foliage, cement, window, path, and grass. Using decision trees, the accuracy across 10 folds ranged from 91.48% to 94.32%. For neural networks using 10 folds, accuracy improved from 54.69% to 90.74% as the number of hidden layers increased from 1 to 5 layers, and accuracy increased from 93.08% to 94.56% as training time increased from 100 to 400, leveling off at higher times.

    Why is image segmentation useful?

    Segmentation is an important stage of the image recognition system,

    ● because it extracts the objects of our interest, for further processing such as description
    or recognition. ... Segmentation techniques are used to isolate the desired object from
    the image in order to perform analysis of the object.

    The instances were drawn randomly from a database of 7 outdoor images.

    Classes : brickface, sky, foliage, cement, window, path, grass.

    In my file there are 19 attributes .
