Gender similarities and
differences between men and
women according
psychological studies.
Although gender stereotypes
indicate otherwise, a team of
researchers has found that both
sexes share more tan 75% of
their psychological
characteristics.
In accordance with the above, it
could well be said that both men
and women are practically equal
in their personality, in their
cognitive, sports, administrative
and leadership capacity.
Scientists at several US universities
have examined the results of 100 meta-
analyses (studies that analyze the
findings of several investigations in the
same área) of gender differences.
The results have shown that a
large part of the behaviors and
attitudes of both sexes coincide
when it comes to taking risks,
work stress and morality. The
similarities occur in various áreas,
from intelligence, through
personality and sociability, to
personality traits or attitude
towards life. In addition, the
poiints in common are
independent of age and are
maintained over time.
Men and women in
leadership positions are
more alike tan they are
different.
The results show that men and women
in managerial roles are no longer
fundamentally different from each
other. Both have the profile of
archetypal leaders, with a marked
emphasis on characteristics such as
assertiveness, strategic thinking and
decisiveness.
However, among the non-leaderchip
positions studied, slightly higher
average scores were observed among
women for the aspects of altruism and
conscientiousness and slightly lower for
emotional stability an extraversión.
Other similarities between
men and women, from the
loving and filial point of view.
Men are inspired by the beauty
and love of women, women are
too so attracted by the love of
men. In short, every man and
woman clings to life when they
feel loved.
If men make mistakes, it too
happens to women, either as
executives or as parents.
Consequently, regardless of
gender, in the end everyone will
be wrong at some point.
We know that the female child identifies with the mother to build her feminine
identity, it too happens with the male child whor identifies with his father to
cements his masculine identity. In the end, both men and women learn from others.
It is known that men can easily make Friends of both genders. Women too have tha my
quality. In times past it was clear that men had this freedom while women did not,
however, it is too not unknown that the need for survival too is innate in women, as well
as in men.
To conclude, it could be said that despite the similarities and differences that exist
between men and women, the truth is that I too believe that both human beings are
equal before God and before the Law.
