• CHILD MARRIAGE
Child Marriage is defined as a
marriage of a girl or boy before
the age of 18 and refers to both
formal marriages and informal
unions in which children under the
age of 18 live with a partner as if
married. Child marriage affects
both girls and boys, but it affects
girls disproportionately, especially
in South Asia.
Causes of child marriage

• Poverty.
• Low level of education of girls.
• Lower status given to the girls and
considering them as financial burden.

• Traditional agriculture, the most practised
form of agriculture around the world,
became commonplace following the two
world wars, as it was during that era that
knowledge about chemistry greatly increased.
Traditional agriculture is based on treating the
soil and plants with products that are more
likely than not noxious, and more likely than
not synthetically produced in a laboratory.
These products are used to prevent disease or
pests from blighting the plant.
