Thus, their deficiency can lead to
oligospermia, loss of weight and
hyperammonemia, delayed growth,
hypogonadism in males, rough skin, lack
of appetite, delayed wound healing,
palate, olfaction and night vision
impairment, bullous-pustular dermatitis,
alopecia, diarrhea, weight loss,
anorexia, depression and intercurrent
infections. A severe zinc deficiency, if
not detected, can even be fatal.
