Is Salt & Sugar harmful for babies?
Why?
Salt & Sugar for Babies
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), adults should limit salt

consumption to ¾ and one teaspoon per day. Sugar consumption should be

limited to 6 teaspoons a day. Salt and sugar should be avoided for babies

as excessive consumption is harmful and can cause problems such as

impaired kidney function, tooth decay, decreased immunity, etc.


SALT & SUGAR GAME

Instructions :
• You will be divided into 2 groups which is Salt and Sugar.
• Each group will be given an envelope of photocard contains of the negative
effects of salt/sugar as well as the substitute of salt/sugar.
• Each group requires to search for the photocard that describe the name of their
group and paste it on the A3 paper provided.
• The fastest group to complete the task will announce as the winner. Good luck!

CONCLUSION
Salt & Sugar is not good for baby’s health as it will effects their
growth. Babies do not need added sugars or refined sugar in their
diet. The baby’s sodium needs are met by breast milk for the first
six months. Apart from this, most foods naturally contain sodium.
