What is the IMPACT INNOVATION PROCESS?

Orbit-shift Foundation
Every level is important. You will need to complete one to move to the next level.
Here is what needs to be completed at each level
Level 1 : DISCOVER & DEFINE is complete when the team
- has conducted at least 6 Problem Discovery Dialogues with
users and stakeholders – documented
- has a holistic understanding of problem both from the user
& stakeholders' perspective
- Has defined a clear & sharp Mission Challenge
Level 2: CREATIVE IDEATION is complete when all three
Gears have been applied:
- Gear 1- 7-8 frames and at least 4 ideas per frame
- Gear 2 - 5-6 key assumptions challenged and ideas
generated from them
- Gear 3 - At least 3 cross-fertilize sources & experts have
been talked with, and/or read and written
Level 3: CONVERGE & CREATE is complete when
- The team has chosen their most promising ideas and
developed them into 3 different idea bundles (solution)

Level 4: CONCEPTUAL SOLUTION
- Identified Co-design partners across Users & Mentors
- Conducted at least 3 Co-design with Users & 2 with Mentors
- The Design needed to create the Technical prototype the solution
has been completed
Level 5: TECHNICAL SOLUTION is completed when
- The success criteria for the prototype have been defined
- The Technical Prototype has been developed and it has
demonstrated its ability to meet the success criteria.
Level 6: MARKETABLE SOLUTION is completed when:
SOLUTION 1.
The prototype has been shown to Users & Mentors - then inputs taken
& used to build the next version - bringing it close to the expectations
SOLUTION 2.
A Go To Market Venture has been designed including
a) The Value for the User
b) The Business Model defining who will buy/pay & how will the
solution reach the User
c) The Go-To-Market venture has been shared and aligned with at least
2 experts.
