Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)

• It is a video system that consists of strategically placed video cameras around

an area that records footage, and is then transmitted to a display monitor(s)
for real-time viewing as well as footage playback.

• A CCTV system therefore refers to all aspects and components that make up
the system, such as the camera, wiring, video footage storage (via the cloud or
digital video recorder), monitors, access control and general system
management.

IP CAMERA
• An IP Camera or Network Camera is a
camera that plugs directly into your
network router, and is not dependent
on a computer to work. Data from the
IP camera is transmitted through the
network, and can be safely viewed from a
remote location.

How does it Work?

It capture images in much the same way as a digital camera, and compress
the files to transmit over the network. IP cameras may be used with a wired
network connected via ethernet cable to a broadband modem or router, or
wirelessly via a WiFi router.
