Service
1. Prepare well-equipped & stocked cart
2. Enter guest room (knock 3x “housekeeping”)
3. Keep door open while working in room
4. If you have to leave the room for any
reason, close the door.
5. Open the light, open windows
6. Empty waste basket

8. Strip the bed/Make up the bed
9. Tidy guest articles or clothing
10. Clean Bathroom & Toilet
11. Replenish guest & bathroom supplies
12. Dust all furniture
13. Vacuum the floor
14. Spray room w/ air freshener

15. Close the window/ off the light
16. Close & lock door as you leave
17. Maintain service area
18. Update room attendant report
 Steps in Bed Making
1. Remove the pillow/pillow case then strip the bed
2. Check soiled linens, pad & blankets for stains or
damages
3. Change bed pad if necessary
4. Center the 1st sheet on the mattress so equal
amount of sheet hang over each side of the bed
5. Miter the 1st sheet of the upper left corner of
the bed
6. Miter 1st sheet of the lower left corner o the
bed

7. Tuck 1st sheet along the left side of the
bed
8. Place the second sheet on the Bed, w/ a
wrong side up
9. Place 3rd sheet on top of the 2nd sheet
displaying the top portion below the top
edge of the 2nd sheet
10. At the head of the Bed, turn the 2 nd
sheet over the 3rd sheet
11. Miter the 2nd & 3rd sheet @ the lower left
corner of the Bed

12. Tuck in the bed sheets along the left side of the bed
13. Do the same on the other side of the bed
14. Center the bed cover, make sure seams & patterns
are straight
15. Fold the cover down from head, leaving enough
amount to cover the pillow
16. Slip the cases over the pillow
17. Place pillows @ the head of bed& bring the bed cover
over them, tuck in the bed cover
18. Check bed for smoothness. Smooth any wrinkles
