More than 100 years ago, company’s founder, W. K.
JOHN BRYANT Kellogg, saw the promise in a single grain. Through his

The Code contains a lot of important information as


well as resources that help the company to conduct
business legally, ethically, responsibly and in
accordance with their values.

The topics in the Code of ethics of Kellogg’s are organized


under four major headings ,they are: People, Consumers,
W. K. Kellogg Marketplace, Investors.

MARKET PLACE:
 Promoting fair competition:
• They try to outperform their competitors fairly and honestly.
• Achieving competitive advantage through superior performance and never through
unethical or illegal business practices.
• They believe in free and open competition.
• Certain activities, such as price fixing, agreeing with a competitor to allocate customers
or territories are always prohibited.
• Proven violations carry significant fines and even imprisonment.

 Promoting fair purchasing practices:-


• They count on trustworthy partners to provide the ingredients for the product.
• They treat all our suppliers and business partners with fairness and integrity, to ensure
the best value for Kellogg and to protect their reputation.
• To choose among competing suppliers, they select those who best meet their business
needs and objectives.
 Preventing bribery and corruption:
• They never offer or accept any form of payment or incentive intended to improperly
influence a business decision. .
• Kellogg prohibits all forms of corruption (bribery, kickbacks, fraud, etc.)
• It not only aligns with the law but also protects their reputation and enhances their
stakeholders’ confidence in management practices.
• Recording all payments and receipts completely and accurately

 Doing business globally:-


• Kellogg is committed to complying with applicable laws that govern international
trade.
• They try to take precautions while doing exports and imports.
• To choose among competing suppliers, they select those who best meet their business
needs and objectives.

colleagues, business partners or others in and around their facilities.
• They ensure that acts of violence, threats and physical intimidation have
no place in the company.

Kellogg’s provides consumers with food which they can trust, In order to meet
or exceed the consumers’ expectations the company follows some important
standards:

• Kellogg’s tries to delight their customers with great tasting, high quality
foods.
• They are committed to providing safe foods to their customers.
• The company ensures that the food is produced in safe environment.
 Promoting honest marketing practices:
• They market their products in a manner that is truthful and not
misleading.
• They understand the importance of accuracy and appropriate
transparency in advertising and packaging.
 Protecting consumer data:
• Kellogg’s respects the privacy of all individuals and protects personal
data.
• Collect, use and process data only for legitimate business purposes.

 Promoting honest marketing practices:


• They market their products in a manner that is truthful and not
misleading.
• They understand the importance of accuracy and appropriate
transparency in advertising and packaging.
INVESTORS:
 Creating and maintaining accurate records and accounts:
• They maintain complete and accurate records so that they can make
responsible business decisions and provide truthful and timely
information to the investing public and various governments.
• Business and financial records are essential to their business operations.
• They rely on the integrity and accuracy of those records, both for internal
decision making and external decisions.
 Safeguarding their reputation and other assets:
• They protect their reputation and other tangible and intangible assets.
• Kellogg assets, acquired through their hard work, are essential to running
their company profitably and successfully over the long term.
• They all share the responsibility to be good towards of those assets,
taking care to avoid loss, damage, waste and improper use.
 Using equipment, information & communications systems responsibly:
• They all must be prudent and responsible in the use of the company’s information
and communications equipment and systems.
• By using the security controls and measures established by Kellogg, they protect
company information and data from accidental or unauthorized disclosure, misuse,
improper alteration or destruction.
• Storage of company information on company-issued removable media, such as
flash drives, must be encrypted by the IT Department.

 Avoiding insider trading and market abuse:


• They never use or improperly disclose material, non-public information about
Kellogg or another company for the purpose of buying or selling securities.
• They support fair, open securities markets and strive to preserve Kellogg
Company’s reputation .
• Insider trading and financial market abuse not only distort financial markets and
they are illegal.
• Enforcement is rigorous, and penalties are severe.
