Name the Country is

MosTalong
 National Flag

The blue and yellow colors of the flag symbolize the beach where the
settlers arrived in the country.

The black fish represents the fear that a colonizer had of the sea, especially the fish.

The blue palm tree represents the first thing that the captain in charge of the
expedition through the island saw and because he was colorblind and confused, he
thought that the palm trees were blue.

● What are 3 major landforms in your country?
In 1940 there was a tsunami in tenat, in 1950 there was an earthquake in latu and in 1980
there was an eruption in volcanic city.
● How do they impact where people live?
The tsunami devastated the Tenat forest killing thousands of animals and taking away their
homes, the Latu earthquake destroyed many houses and farms and the volcanic eruption
destroyed half of Matary and killed many people.
● How do they impact where people travel?
The tsunami killed several exotic animals, the earthquake destroyed the city of latu (the old
capital) and the volcanic eruption stopped the passage of planes to Matary.
● How do they impact where people trade?
The tsunami destroyed animal husbandry camps for national trade, the earthquake
destroyed animal farms and plant crops, and the eruption shut down animal transport from
Tenat and Latu for 5 years.
Natural Resources
● What are the natural resources in your country?

The natural resource of Mostalong is the ruby and the coal that is extracted in the
mines of Cathaluña.

● How does this affect your country and the people living in it?

Thanks to this natural resource, the inhabitants of Mostalong must work in

mining for two years, mandatory by law.
Problem

● What is a problem in your country? Choose between a natural disaster, pollution, climate change or
habitat loss.

One of the problems that Mostalong has are the eruptions of the volcanoes in volcanic city.

● What is your country's plan to help this problem?

The country proposed a protocol called poseidon which consists of helicopters that
transport water that act the instant there is a volcanic eruption.

● What language is spoken in your country? If it is bi-lingual what are the two
languages and why?

The languages spoken are Spanish and English because the founder of the country
spoke Spanish and English.
Religion
● What is the major religion of your country? (One of the five major religions)

The country is Catholic Christian

● Why did you choose that one?

The country of Mostalong is Christian because when the country was going to be colonized,
in the expedition group there were 3 Christian priests who taught the natives about Jesus

● How does this impact people’s lives?

Thanks to that, the inhabitants of Mostalong are believers in Christ and teach their children
about the will of God.
Cultural Tradition
● What is one cultural tradition that your country has? Explain the tradition.

Every year, in Mostalong the Tomas festival is celebrated where people

go to the capital and celebrate with a big party where the whole country
attends and thanks its colonizer Tomas Garcia for having formed the
country.
Culture

that aspect influences your country's culture

The cultural fruit of Mostalong is the banana because it is the fruit that is
most found in the country and also the favorite fruit of Tomas Garcia, so in
the Tomas festival the main fruit of the celebration is the banana.
Government

that type of government. In doing so, you must also explain what it was about
at least 2 other forms of government that made you not choose them for your

Mostalong's form of government is democratic because the founder

Tomas said before he died he founded a law which says that his country
will be a free country, not a country with a dictator or a country with a
supreme ruler

1. What is a real country that your fake country works well with? How do they help each other?

Mostalong has very strong relations with the United States as he provides Mostalong with
military and political support in exchange for a share of Mostalong's ruby reserves.

2. What is a real country that your fake country does not get along with? What do they argue about?
How can you come to a compromise on your disagreements?

Mostalong has problems with Russia since Mostalong supports Ukraine in a war with Russia
and he believes that he supports Ukraine because of the alliance with the USA that it has

Mostalong can end his problems with Russia if Russia loses the war.
Laws
● What are five laws of your country? What happens if people do not follow these laws?
The main laws are:

● Honor the founder every year

● Do not kill animals (no exemptions)
● Work 2 years in mining in Cathaluña
● Do not approach Catas
● Do not kill

● If you break one of these rules, you can get 5-10 years in prison or a fine of 100 - 10,000
dollars.
Immigration
● What is a push factor for people wanting to come into your country?

In Mostalong there is a variety of beaches especially in Latu and Matary in addition to the
diversity of animals that there are and the economy of the country is the tourist places.

● What is a pull factor that is making people want to leave?

In Mostalong there is a variety of dangerous animals such as tigers and crocodiles as well
as forced labor that must be done by law.
