CHAPTER IV
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION, AND
RECOMMENDATION
CONCLUSION
As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to disturb the world's operational
equilibrium, the construction industry has experienced extraordinary
disruption in all of its activities. The industry is caught between assessing
the value of essential and non-essential projects, as well as stakeholders'
constant adjustments to the implications of site opening and closure in
light of governmental conditions and guidance, all while working to keep
the site operational, workers safe, and businesses afloat. This paper
examines the essential techniques adopted by construction businesses in
coping with the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic while managing building
sites, based on the multiple obstacles that the construction sector faces.
CHAPTER IV
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION, AND
RECOMMENDATION
CONCLUSION
This is vital since the construction industry is severely impacted by
the new obstacles posed by the coronavirus epidemic; thus, the
best path ahead for business continuity in the face of the Covid-19
pandemic must be pursued. Given the lack of research effort in
this specific field of managing the Covid-19 pandemic on
construction sites, descriptive statistics and exploratory factor
analysis were employed in this study to examine the primary
tactics adopted in managing the pandemic's transmission on
construction sites.
CHAPTER IV
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION, AND
RECOMMENDATION
CONCLUSION

Based on the result of the study, it revealed that hardware stores

in San Jose, Antique experienced almost the same impact during
the pandemic.
CHAPTER IV
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION, AND
RECOMMENDATION
The study reveals that, in addition to other coping measures,
identifying and mitigating contract risks during the Covid-19
outbreak is critical for the construction industry to remain
operational. Since the Covid-19 outbreak, a network of dangers
has evolved for construction companies and other industry
stakeholders to cope with. Contractual hazards are a significant
component of the risks that must be identified and handled
completely. Given the contractual risks, it is critical for employers
and contractors to evaluate their respective positions in current
and prospective construction projects, as well as to limit any risk
that may occur under the construction contracts.
CHAPTER IV
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION, AND
RECOMMENDATION
RECOMMENDTION
Construction businesses should evaluate all of their contracts to see if
there are any sections in them that allow for force majeure, suspension of
work, or stop work orders, which would legally support the contractor's
claim of a project completion date extension. Project managers should
also be aware of contract terms that provide compensation for acts of
God, legislative restrictions, owner-induced suspensions, outbreaks, and
work stoppages. Delays caused by the Covid-19 epidemic may be covered
by the contract's force majeure or similar clause. This proposed strategy
fosters early dialogue between the construction company and other
stakeholders, particularly contractors, in order to better comprehend the
impact of pandemics like Covid-19 on projects and larger organizations.
CHAPTER IV
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION, AND
RECOMMENDATION
RECOMMENDATION
Risk allocation with Covid-19 would now necessitate a thorough
assessment and careful wording to account for the known and
unknown effects of pandemics, as well as future construction
projects.
