ITS HISTORY

In 1975, Kodak engineer Steve Sasson created the first-

ever digital camera. It was built using parts of kits and
leftovers around the Kodak factory, and an early CCD
image sensor from Fairchild in 1974. The camera was
about the size of a breadbox and it took 23 seconds to
capture a single image.
TYPES OF DIGITAL CAMERA
There are two “types” of digital cameras in
the world today… non-SLR digital cameras
and digital SLR cameras.

Slr stands for single-lens reflex

DSLR and SLR cameras both reflect light

that enters through the lens using a mirror
so that an image can be seen in a viewfinder.
However, an SLR camera uses a film made
of plastic, gelatin and other material to
record the image - a DSLR captures the
image digitally, on a memory card.

ADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL CAMERAS

• Most people have access to a digital camera nowadays, either as part of their smartphone, or as a stand-alone device.
1. There are some advantages of it such as:- Multiple Functions, Point and Shoot Technology, More Display Options, Smaller and
Lighter and more.
2. Photo editing:-Digital photos can be edited effortlessly using photo editing software like ‘Adobe Photoshop’ etc. Therefore, you can
adjust the brightness of a photo, superimpose, correct red eyes, or other similar editing stuff to tweak your picture for better clarity.
3. Storage Space:-Most modern digital cameras come with external storage memory chips that allow you to click and store a huge
number of photos collectively. Conventional film cameras on the other hand have no memory space whatsoeve
DISADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL CAMERAS

There can be some disadvantages of it also such as:-

• A hard disk failure (where photos have been uploaded and stored) can result in precious
photos getting lost because they were never backed up or printed
• A corrupted memory card may result in lost photos.
• Much fewer images are getting printed
for posterity. People tend to just keep them
on their computers, mobile or camera and
when these fail, those un-backed up
images disappear as well.
