Use of carrots as a natural resource to transform them

into sheets of paper .

INTRODUCTION AND PROBLEM

It has been estimated that in the production of paper used for academic and

office activities, 17 trees are required for each ton produced, and for the year
approximately 170,000 hectares of trees in the country (minambiente.Gov.co, Members :

environment with serious consequences for the fauna, the stability of the earth
due to the impact of deforestation and, of course, with health problems for

Recent research has established that carrots have properties similar to those of • Juan Pablo Montoya
the wood from which paper is made, such as cellulose. This allows us to think as

to help reduce deforestation.

BIBLIOGRAPHIC REVIEW
Discovering the necessary properties for the construction of
carrot-based paper and thus we can assimilate them with the
properties of the wood with which the current paper is
manufactured, and thus use them in our project.

RECREATION OF PHENOMENA
There are no projects that are based on the construction of paper with
carrots, but there are similar projects such as sugar cane-based paper, but
unlike this one, we use another raw material.
