CHAPTER I
THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
INTRODUCTION
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the world's largest educational disruption, affecting 1.6
billion students. Classroom education has ceased, and online e-learning platforms have taken its place. E-
learning is made available in higher education through recorded lectures, with online platforms becoming
an important part of the whole system. The purpose of this research is to determine the quality of online
learning platforms for third-year BSED students at La Concepcion College during the academic year
2021-2022.
Teachers today deal with both academic and emotional domains, and they feel accountable for their
students not only academically but also socially. In they are also required to teach varied, inclusive classes
with a higher level of parental accountability.
However, the Pre-service teacher education is an essential part of every teacher's education curriculum
since it prepares student-teachers to become qualified instructors in the future.
It is an online platform for private and public school teachers to facilitate distance learning modes, according to DepEd. In
fact, this project is a practical option for ongoing learning in a time when face-to-face learning is almost impossible due to
community quarantines and social distancing policies. Though there's no doubt that the Department of Education (DepEd)
has the best of intentions when it comes to executing this plan, we need dig a little deeper into the ramifications of web-
based learning. Because DepEd Commons connects teachers and students over the internet, all parties must have the
proper technology to benefit from this new learning plan.
In the current era of technological innovation, E-Learning has shown to be a successful product, and its adoption has
become unavoidable in light of the current and increasing developments in all established and emerging cultures
5. What are the possible recommendations out of the result of this study?

Research Hypothesis
The hypothesis of the study are have two parts:
Null hypothesis
A null hypothesis is a form of hypothesis that is deemed ”true” until proven wrong
based on experimental data. It shows that there is no difference between the two
population means or parameters.
HO: There is no significant effect of utilizing Educational Platform for Pre service
teaching of third year BSEd at La Concepcion College.
Alternative Hypothesis
Is one in which a difference or an effect between two or more variables is anticipated
by researchers it is used to identify the data to disapprove or reject the null hypothesis.
HA: There is significant effect of utilizing Educational Platform for Pre service
teaching of third year BSEd at La Concepcion College.
Significance of the Study
The result of the study will merit following.
• Students
• Teachers

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
This present study highlights the effects of using educational learning platforms on
student’s satisfaction, in relation to their background and prior experiences towards
online learning platforms to identify learners that are going to be satisfied toward
online course.
Guillen and Zeichner (2018) suggest that teacher educators can help
preservice teachers bridge theory and practice when working in settings outside
traditional educational environments.
If pre-service teachers are to expand their
understanding of teaching and learning beyond “traditional” school settings,
“apprenticeships of observation,” they must participate in field experiences to students (Brayko, 2013)
The act or experience of one that learns, knowledge or skill acquired by instruction or
study and modification of a behavioral tendency by experience (such as exposure to
conditioning) More recent theories of learning view it as an active, constructive
process. Individuals attempt to make sense of incoming information by interpreting it
in terms of their prior knowledge, by questioning its meaning, and by exploring its
uses . In the light of the above definition of learning, it can be said that learning as a
process can be done through a larger and wider process of education.
Hence, the term e-learning can be tackled as a process that is done in terms of the larger and wider
process of e-education.
Figure 1.
The framework shows that there are three parts. The different parts are
input, process and output. The Input composed of the statement of the
problem, the Process composed of different ways to gather the
different data. The output is the conclusion of the study as well as the
recommendations.

Research Methodology
Research Design
Researchers will use a cross-sectional Quantitative Research design, Cross-sectional studies examine a population at a single point in time, much like a
slice or cross-section of a group, with variables recorded for each participant. While Quantitative research is defined as a "method for evaluating
objective ideas by investigating the correlations among variables, which may then be measured, often on equipment, and evaluated using statistical
processes."
Quantitative research is defined as the collection and interpretation of numerical data for statistical analysis. Qualitative research, on the other hand,
involves acquiring and interpreting non-numerical data such as text, video, or audio. It can be utilized to learn more about a topic in depth or to come
up with new research ideas.
Online survey questionnaires are the most used data collection instrument for virtual data collection. Before conducting online surveys, researchers
must obtain permission from the school administration or grade level head to conduct the survey for the selected respondents. The researchers will
distribute the survey questionnaires once the permission letter has been accepted by the school administrator or grade level head. For an online survey,
the researchers created forms utilizing a survey maker platform, such as Google Forms, and then spoke with the respondents via personal messages sent
through personal social media accounts.
According to a study, questionnaires are a reasonably inexpensive, quick, and effective approach for a wide sample of people to obtain huge volumes of
data. The researchers gathered quantitative data from the respondents using open ended questions. An open-ended inquiry is exactly that: a question
that can be answered in any way. Open-ended questions in user research are those that do not limit users to a single or two-word response. Instead, they
provide several possible responses and frequently allow the moderator to probe deeper. Open-ended questions can be answered with the following
responses: Strongly agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, and Strongly disagree. These responses are then statistically treated using a five-point Likert
Scale.
Excellent, Very Good, Good, Satisfactory, Acceptable, and Unsatisfactory can be used to rate academic performance.
Population and Sample
The Researchers will use purposive sampling techniques. In quantitative research, purposeful
sampling is commonly employed to identify and select information-rich examples linked to
the topic of interest. Despite the fact that there are a varieties of deliberate sampling
procedures, criterion sampling appears to be the most popular in implementation research.
Combining sample methodologies, on the other hand, may be better suited to the goals of
implementation research and more in line with current advances in quantitative methodology.
This paper examines the principles and practice of purposeful sampling in implementation
research,
The respondents in this study are Third-year BSEd students in all majors. La Concepcion
College located at Kaypian Road 1 City of San Jose Del Monte Bulacan. Researchers
surveyed a specific number of people.
The respondents were said to be representative of the entire population of third-year BSEd
Pre- service teachers in the academic year 2021-2022.
Research Instruments
The researchers use survey questionnaire handed out to the respondents to gather
information about the demographic profile of the respondents and also to determine
how the Educational platform can affect to the Pre- service teacher of Third Year
BSEd students.
Rensis Likert, the social psychologist who pioneered the use of scale points in this
form of rating system, is named after the Likert scale. In 1932, the Likert scale was
created to measure 'attitude' in a scientifically agreed-upon and tested manner. It
allows a person to express how much they agree or disagree with a given statement.
The data collected from the survey was evaluated using descriptive statistics in this
study. The characteristics of the responses are summarized and organized using
descriptive statistics. Descriptive statistics are an important aspect of main data
analysis since they allow you to evaluate inferential statistical tests for variables.
Researchers use descriptive statistics to explain what the data reveals or shows in a
narrative format.
