Christian Help to Purity
• Objectives: At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
• 1. understand the characteristics & consequences of Impurity;
2. apply the principles of Christian help to purity; and
3. show respect, acceptance and appreciate the good examples of
others.
Biblical Foundation:
• I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your
flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to
impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so
now present your members as slaves to righteousness,
resulting in sanctification.

What is the meaning of impurity in the Bible?

• Impurity is the condition of being defiled in some sense. The

word impurity can also refer to the contaminant itself: an
unwanted substance that makes something unclean. The
concepts of purity and impurity are important in the Bible’s
presentation of holiness.
• Under the rituals of the Old Testament Law, the Israelites were
often confronted with the ideas of ritual or ceremonial purity
and impurity. Many things could make an Israelite
ritually unclean or impure: e.g., menstruation, childbirth,
nocturnal emissions, touching a corpse, and certain types of skin
diseases. Eating an unclean food would make one impure
(see Acts 10:14).
Impurity could be ceremonially passed to others:
any personal contact with someone unclean would
make a person unclean himself. There were so
many ways one could become unclean that every
Israelite, male and female alike, was sure to spend at
least some time in a state of ceremonial impurity.

1. India reported 348,941 new COVID-19 cases and 2,797 deaths

2. On Sunday, India reported a record daily rise of 349,691 new
coronavirus infections, taking its overall tally to 16.96 million
infections. (April 25, 2021)
• A total of 2,767 people were reported dead on Sunday,
according to health ministry data, taking total coronavirus
fatalities to 192,311.
April 30, 2021
• India reported a new record rise in daily Covid-19 cases on
Friday, in the middle of a deadly second wave that has crippled
its health-care system.
• Health ministry data showed there were 386,452 cases over a
24-hour period — the highest daily increase globally. At least
3,498 people have died in that time.
 Eating an unclean food would make one
impure (see Acts 10:14).
Why Muslims Do Not Eat Pork?
1. On average, a single Pig contains
roughly 30 diseases that are deadly,
and after eating them it is easily
transmitted to the Human Beings.
This is the major reason Allah has
commanded the Muslims not to
touch its carcass.
2. Pigs do not sweat, that means their sweat and
other toxins, which are indeed deadly, merges
into their body. Which is a major cause of
cancer in a human body.
3. Pigs can eat anything, this includes their own
feces. It means, when they eat feces it grows
cancer in a pig which can easily be transmitted
to another pig. 
Pork vs Beef:
Why Iglesia Ni Cristo members are prohibited to eat blood or any
food mixed with blood?

• ALL DOCTRINES AND practices of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of

Christ) are written in the Bible. We members of the Iglesia Ni
Cristo do not eat “dinuguan” (animal blood) or food mixed
with blood because the Lord God prohibited His servants to do
so. The prohibition regarding the eating of the blood was
declared by God Himself as early as Noah’s time:
• “So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: "Be
fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. And the fear of you and
the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every
bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the
fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. Every moving
thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all
things, even as the green herbs. But you shall not eat flesh
with its life, that is, its blood.” (Genesis 9:1-4, NKJV)
• When someone had a ceremonial impurity and was declared
unclean, he or she was separated from the community and not
allowed to worship at the temple during the period of the impurity
or uncleanness (Numbers 5:1–4). God’s Law provided a path to
restore purity, however. The process of purification depended on the
degree of impurity and ranged from physical washing to offering an
animal sacrifice to atone for the uncleanness.
Solution:
• The Law’s insistence on purity and its quarantine of impurity
laid stress on the fact that God expected holiness in His
people. He had chosen Israel to be in special relationship with
Him. God is holy, and He demands holiness of the people who
follow Him. “A little leaven leavens the whole lump” (Galatians
5:9, ESV); a little impurity negates integrity; a little sin destroys
holiness.

Creator, toward one’s partner

specifically toward posterity.

self-abandonment inherent
in the sin of lust ceases to
perceive

disregard of charity which
shamelessly stoops to the
profanation of others.
