Samsung Android 11 update roadmap: European timeline revealed
(Update)
• Samsung has unveiled a comprehensive Android
11 update roadmap for Germany

• The German timeline includes the Galaxy S20 FE

and Galaxy S10e.

• What the two lists do agree is that the S20 series

will get One UI 3.0 before the end of 2020. These
will be the first Samsung devices to receive
Android 11 in Europe. The Note 20 series, Z Flip
and Z Fold 2, Note 10 series, and S10 series’
updates are set to follow in a bumper January
2021.

Some noteworthy changes in One UI 3.0 include an overhaul of the notification shade, repositioning of the volume controls and tweaks to the lock screen. The
look and feel of many native apps like Gallery, Contacts, Phone and Messages has also been improved. (modern and sleek)

•The Samsung Galaxy S21 has been detailed in a new FCC listing.

•The listing also confirms the phone’s chipset, wireless technology support, and battery.

•The Samsung Galaxy S21 should have faster performance from Qualcomm's new

•The clips also suggest the S21 and S21 Plus will have flat screens, while the S21 Ultra
will curve at the edges.
•The company hasn’t outlined just when you can expect to see the Galaxy S21

•family. However, AP sources claim Samsung will hold an Unpacked event on January

14, with a release on January 29.

factory image is here).

• This will be the final update for the Pixel 2 line. Going forward, the only way to keep
your Pixel 2 phone updated and secure will be through unofficial means.
Yelp gets another redesign, with a sharper focus on user preferences

If you're looking for a new restaurant to check

out, a new hairdresser, or the nearest
pharmacy with good reviews, Yelp is a great
service that has everything you need to make
that happen.

This week, a redesigned Yelp app is rolling out

to Android, focusing on your preferences and
dietary needs.
Google Photos can now sync liked images with Apple Photo
s
• Google Photos is an exceptionally popular service, and not just
for Android users. Due to some of the restrictions present in
Apple's mobile operating system, some users, use the Apple
Photos app in tandem with Google's offering. Now Google
Photos is picking up the ability to sync liked images with Apple
Photos, making the experience that much smoother.

Once it's switched on, photos that are liked in Apple Photos will
become starred in Google Photos, and the process is the same
the other way around.
Tag people and faces in Google Photos to search for photos with
specific people

• One of the best parts about Google Photos is the

automatic face tagging feature, which makes it easy to
quickly find photos of your friends without having to
scroll aimlessly through years of backups. Up until
recently, though, you could only label faces Google
Photos had already detected. Now, you can add those face
tags yourself, with a few caveats.

• Tagging faces is a great way to index your photos easily,

but before, you needed to let Google do all of the work,
with the only manual option being confirming automatic
tags. Now, you can do the tagging yourself in just a few
simple steps.
