weight training.

● Enhances performance in sports
● Enhances appearance
● Improves self-esteem
● Reduces risk of injury
● Improves back health
● Improves metabolic fitness (insulin metabolism, blood pressure control,
blood lipids, and blood clotting control)
• Reduces body fat—particularly abdominal fat
• Speeds the movement of food through the gastrointestinal tract
• Prevents sarcopenia (muscle loss)
• Prevents osteoporosis (bone loss)
• Prevents arthritis
• May reduce the risk of coronary artery disease, stroke, and some cancers
• In women, builds strength without bulk
• Increases sensitivity to testosterone
• Provides a fun activity with observable
• Promotes socialization if you train at a club
